Aside from a walk to the park for a play and lunch, my three year old and one year old kept themselves busy all day.
My three year old painting on black cardstock with metallic paints.
My three year old making a collage with scrapbooking papers on brown recycled cardstock. Lots of practice using scissors and gluing/pasting.
My three year old completing a transport puzzle. This was a bit tricky.
My three year old making bon-bons.
Firstly she used some cardboard tubes and painted them using a paint brush and her fingers to make patterns, then she wrapped them up in tissues when they had dried, added some tape to hold them on and then painted the outside. This was her own activity. I provide the materials and let her chose whatever she wants to work with.
Experimenting with wire.
Wire, playdough and wooden sticks
Florist wire.
Trying out the balance board on carpet first, then on a smoother surface outside.
Sandpit play, scooping….
and pouring.
More scooping and pouring with sand.
Both kids working together.
Lots of fun with different sized bottles and containers.
Kinetic sand, great for moulding and it feels amazing.
Another material that both of my kids can use together.
My one year old loved the feeling of this sand.
Playdough with bits and pieces.
There was also time in the day to dance to music, read books, draw, have a nap, play dress ups and run around in the back yard.
