Easter wooden egg painting

I purchased some wooden eggs recently for painting over the Easter long weekend. Both of my children (4 years and 2 years) just loved this. Wooden egg painting is not only lots of fun but is easy to do.

Watercolours dry quickly so they are easy to use with this kind of art activity.

It’s about the process not the end result, but I have to admit these do look beautiful.
Real egg painting
My 4 year old came home with this painted egg yesterday. I believe all the children in my daughter’s Montessori class got to paint one using a Q-Tip. The children also made an Easter card with collage materials.
