In the kitchen with a 2 year old and a 4 year old-meal preparation

The last time I wrote a post like this; In the Kitchen with a Toddler I focused on what my youngest was doing with me at the time but quite often I work with both of my children together in the kitchen, especially for meal preparation.

Here is a finished plate of salad and chopped vegetable items ready for a BBQ. This is an example of food preparation that both of my children were involved in the whole process.

This wavey chopper, also known as a crinkle wavy cutter is both of my childrens favourite knife to use for this sort of food preparation. My eldest has options to use other blunt ended knives but she finds this wavy chopper to be quicker and easier to use.

Soon I will write a separate post about our evening/dinner time rhythm which focuses again on the preparation of meals together as well as setting the table and a bit about our new simplified weekly meal plan.
