30 Days of Gratitude: 20

Gratitude today for collaborative art work. This afternoon we decided to try a new type of art project. In the past my children worked together and created some Canvas Art which currently hangs on one of our walls, but this time we are trying some fabric art using cotton fabric squares and fabric markers to create a patchwork style wall hanging. The idea being to create some personalised art over a period of time and once all of the fabric squares have been used and they are hung together, it will be a wonderful visual way for my children to see how their art has evolved over time.

Most of what my daughter draws is true to life.

My youngest said he was drawing patterns. I love his art and feel my children should be free to create and make whatever they want to.

It may be difficult to tell but each fabric square has pre-cut holes for threading with assorted ribbon, which is how it all ties together. I have about 32 squares an they are approx 20 x 20cm. I can’t wait to see how this all comes together.
